Peter Utaka scored four goals at the weekendThe former Odense striker has reminded everyone of his scoring prowess by netting four in one game at the weekend while the Afcon hero is playing again as he completed half a game.
The 2013/14 season is just weeks away (at least in countries like Russia and Ukraine) while it is on in China and the European transfer window is now widely open. Nigerian players are not left out of moving clubs though some might feel they are moving to the less glamorous leagues and clubs but they are moving which means they did something right last season.
CHINA
In China, Peter Utaka pulled on his scoring boots on Sunday as he scored all four goals in Dalian Aerbin’s 4-3 away win over Hangzhou in the Chinese Super League. He scored the winner in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
The 29-year-old former Super Eagles striker scored in the 39th, 45th, 73rd minutes and the winner in the 94th minute to make it seven goals in 14 matches as the league enters the 16th round.
EUROPE
Emmanuel Emenike returned to action on the pitch in a friendly tournament for Spartak Moscow against Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday. The Nigerian forward who has been missing through injury since April played the first half of the match that ended 0-0. Coach Stephen Keshi will be pleased that his main arrow head is fit again and will be hoping that the Nations Cup top scorer will keep in shape and injury free for the World Cup qualifiers later in the year.

In Turkey, Michael Eneramo, still nursing the snub by national team selectors, is moving if reports from Turkey are anything to go by. The Nigerian striker is expected to cross from Sivasspor to Trabzonspor on a free transfer. Eneramo scored 29 goals in 79 league games in a two and a half season stint at the 4. Eylül Stadyumu.
And junior international, Chidi Osuchukwu has already moved to Portugal with Sporting Braga having snagged the left-footed ace from Dolphins for a princely sum of $500,000. He will join Super Eagles defender, Elderson Echiejile for the new season.
