I Am Badru Abdulbaqi a graduate from Lagos State University. I Studied computer Science and a sport Lover in all.
Tell us about your Sport Life:
I never realised I had the potential of a Sportsman until I gained admission into the University. I wanted to play Tennis but just found myself loving Badminton and was also in the School Team.
I was involved in a lot of activities back then in school both in the association level and students' Union.
Post held in your capacity related to Sport?
- 400 level – SPORT DIRECTOR (Lagos State University Students’ Union, LASUSU).
- 400 level – CHAIRMAN SPORTS COMMITTEE (Lagos State University Students’ Union, LASUSU)
- Volunteer: At the National Sport festival tagged "Eko 2012"
How far did you play Badminton?
- 100 level – LASU Sport Championship ( 3rd in BADMINTON SINGLES).
- 200 level – LASU Sport Championship ( 3rd in BADMINTON SINGLES).
- 300 level – LASU Sport Championship ( 3rd in BADMINTON SINGLES).
- Represented LASU at the 23rd NIGERIA UNIVERSITY GAMES, UNIBEN 2011 (Badminton).
- 400 level – LASU Sport Championship ( 1ST in BADMINTON SINGLES).
- 400 level – LASU Sport Championship ( 1ST in BADMINTON MIXED DOUBLES).
- Represented LASU at the 13th WEST AFRICA UNIVERSITY GAMES, UNILORIN 2012 (Badminton).
- PARTICIPATED at the First HOD’s Cup (Nigeria Association of Computer Science Students, LASU Chapter).
- PARTICIPATED at the Lagos state Badminton Closed Championship 2011 and also 2012.

What do you think about Nigeria Sport?
CORRUPTION is the word that is still weighing Nigeria's sport down. We need someone that is trustworthy enough to uplift the spirit of our athletes who I believe are capable to become world champions.
Nigeria got that talent, we just need improvement and consistency.

Sport brings people together to love and share reasons to live together. I don't want to kill that spirit of sportsmanship I developed as the Sport director of LASUSU by organising competitions and encouraging people on why sport is important in their life.
